Alex Song. Yes or No?
Before Christmas he may have been the first on my teamsheet if I was picking team. Oozed class, strong on the ball, intelligent, great positional play and the list goes on.

Since Christmas he seems to be away with the fairies, loses the ball in dangerous positions, his passing has been poor and again the list goes. I also wonder how much this has to do with the general dip in form across the squad and fattty?

So end of the season do we pay £10m for him Yes or No?

Without question YES.

New manager and a new philosophy will bring the best out in him.

I reckon the decision to drop him against Chelsea has had an effect. He's gone from being one of the best players we've ever had to very ordinary from that moment.

At the right price and wage of course as he is a better option than most in midfield.

100% yes but not under Allardyce.

Re: Alex Song. Yes or No?
He is the best player we have had for many years. That's why he was a top player at Arsenal and Barca.

When you come from top Champions League teams to a mid table team with a Dinosaur manager it must be difficult to get excited and motivate oneself. So we should pay, but not silly money, because he could become the Diame.

That's why the best players are the young ones who West Ham are their first Premiership team like Cresswell. It's all about the three M's.

Has he played along side Kouyate since Christmas?
Will say again , some players help other players play and it isn't always obvious how the combination works.
Even if you are really sophisticated in the ways of football

For around 8m, better players out there for 15m IMHO

Ability-wise... Definitely 'YES'...

Needs to start performing again though... Badly...

Going through a bad patch like most players do.

He's a quality player, and we'd be fucking stupid not to take him if we get the opportunity.

I agree LAD. He just needs a kick up the arse...

Agree with Mentor - since Allardyce sacrificed that game, a lot of players have dipped. He destroyed a lot of confidence by telling them they weren't good enough to even try and take on Chelsea.

No way, why on earth would we want to buy a player that will improve our first XI permanently?

I'd rather stick with a Nolan/Noble centre pairing

Just say Cunt.

Re: Alex Song. Yes or No?
His recent form might help us get him for a decent price. Of course I'd love us to sign him but it would be a massive gamble that any manager can get him playing consistently well so the price would have to be reasonable.

That said, if he was consistently as good as his best we wouldn't get a sniff at him and he'd be a £50M player.

Re: Alex Song. Yes or No?
It's all about attitude with him isn't it. If he can get on top of that then dig deep to get him.

If his mind is somewhere else then let's move on.
